What a whirlwind of a day! I started out early to head to Michigan for this destination engagement session with Devon and Karl and it was so worth it! I arrived in time to go to the cutest shopping area and enjoy one of my favorite breakfast foods, an açai bowl, before relaxing in the cutest park that looked like it was out of a Hallmark movie.  This gorgeous couple moved recently to Ada, Michigan from Virginia and are still having their wedding back in the Virginia area at https://www.baybeachclub.com/ this September.   I was excited to see what they picked out for a location for their engagement session and this backyard garden did not disappoint!  And guess what?  There were even horses, and those of you that know me, know that I love horses! LOL

I love engagement sessions not only to get to know my couples, but also to teach them core poses and get them comfortable in front of my camera. It also means that on the wedding day we can move quickly and are able to capture even more amazing portraits!  It allows me to really capture the essence of who they are as a couple because they already know what to do and can relax and be themselves on their wedding day!  After sometime as a couple, we added in their two absolutely precious kiddos and had some family portrait time!  Talk about a model family… I had so much fun capturing the love and joy that is so obvious with this sweet family!  I am really looking forward to spending more time with them a Chesapeake Bay Beach Club later this year!
