Saturday was an amazing day filled with so much love! As a Virginia wedding photographer, I was excited to spend the day celebrating Tim and Katie at the gorgeous Shadow Creek located in Purcellville, Virginia. This beautiful barn which is elegant and rustic, sits on a rolling hill in western Loudoun County and was the perfect location for their ceremony and reception! The venue itself is stunning, but when you add florals created by The Rosy Posy and elegant reception decor by Purple Onion Catering the end result was absolutely breath taking!

The day started out with the potential for rain, but after only a few showers the rain stopped and Katie and Tim were able to hold their ceremony outside on the patio overlooking the fields. Their love was so evident throughout the day and it was such a pleasure to meet their friends and family members who brought so much joy to this celebration!

Cocktail hour was not complete without saying hello to Gus the sweetest horse, who obviously enjoys his organic carrot treats! After sipping specialty drinks at the most adorable trailer, guests headed into the reception space at Shadow Creek. As I listened to the maid of honor, Katie’s twin sister and the best man talk about how much this couple means to them, it just reiterated why these two are so special. The heart touching first dance and the sweetest mother and son and mother and daughter dance brought tears to many eyes!

As a Virginia wedding photographer, I have to say that this wedding was amazing in every way! Starting with all of the details that were so carefully chosen and finishing with a fun filled dance floor led by DJ Toussaint Productions this day could not have been any better! A big shoutout out to the amazing planner, Trudy Slocum, who did not miss a single beat all day! We had such an incredible vendor team!
