This engagement session on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. was absolutely amazing! The early morning wake up was so worth it! I got to spend the morning getting reunited with one of my former dance students from Ashburn Academy of Dance. I am so happy that she has found such a wonderful match in Will! These two met on Capitol Hill, so it seemed perfect to spend the morning walking around their work place! We headed straight to the front of the Capitol building where we found almost no other people. Sunrise sessions are wonderful in D.C. for avoiding crowds!! The light was beautiful and Katie and Will looked absolutely stunning in their perfect outfit choices!

Continuing on to our next stop, we headed over to the Supreme Court building which did not disappoint for creating beautiful images. There is nothing like the beautiful marble buildings of Washington D.C. to create stunning backdrops for my couples! After we spent a few moments dancing in front of the Supreme Court, we were on to our next stop. The place where it all began for these this couple…

Afterwards we went to the Russell Senate building where these two met and I was given my own private tour! This adventure led us to the most amazing rotunda for gorgeous overhead shots! I was in my photography happy place for sure! Lastly we headed outside to the fountain area with the Capitol building as a backdrop and Katie and Will broke out their champagne bottle. With fizz shooting out and laughter in the air we concluded this engagement session with a fun toast! This engagement session on Capitol Hill was definitely one to remember! They are the sweetest couple and their love truly shines through in their images!
