I had such a wonderful evening with Olivia and Jake in historic Waterford, Virginia for their engagement session! It was definitely a hot summer evening, but that did not hold this sweet couple back at all! The love and laughter between Olivia and Jake is so genuine, you can’t help but smile in their presence! They were truly a pleasure to have in front of my camera and I really felt as if I was able to capture the essence of their love. They both have the most amazing smiles and I was so inspired through the entire session!

We started out with plans to explore all around historic Waterford, but ended up being graciously invited to come into what turned out to be a gorgeous garden! What a wonderful surprise to be allowed to use a local resident’s secret garden. Those of you that know me know how much I love flowers! I had such a great time wandering around all of the stone paths and staircases. We found lavender plants which happens to be one of Olivia’s favorites as well. It made the perfect addition to her ring images!

As we continued around town I discovered that not only these two are naturals in front of the camera, but they are also talented swing dancers! We made it all the way to the cutest country church where they ended their evening with swing dancing and some amazing flips! This session was truly a dream… a sweet couple that radiates true love, beautiful flowers and dancing! I highly recommend visiting Waterford, Virginia if you are planning an engagement session! I am beyond excited to capture their wedding next May at St. Peters Church in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. It is sure to be an incredible day!
