It was an absolutely gorgeous day for a wedding last weekend! I was honored to witness the marriage of the sweetest couple at the Chapel of St. Peter in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia! Joy is the best word to describe the entire day! Laughter and tears of joy soaked through so many parts of the day. Olivia’s bridesmaids surrounded her with the most heartfelt and faith filled prayer circle before she headed off to the historic chapel. I definitely had tears behind my lens! Olivia was the most radiant bride that exuded happiness throughout the day! She had the most contagious smile on her face every time I looked her way!

Olivia and Jake were surrounded by the most amazing group of friends and family as they were married in a beautiful Catholic ceremony. The ceremony at the Chapel of St. Peter was beautiful not only in content, but in the beauty of the historic church. Their faith was evident throughout the day and to see them celebrate the excitement of starting their married life was so wonderful! I love when I am able to capture so many precious moments for my couples and these two made my job as a photographer easy! Bride and groom portrait time was filled with dancing, dips and lifts and this was only a sneak peek to their choreographed first dance! When you put together a couple that is truly in love and a couple that knows how to swing dance, you are sure to have amazing moments!

Olivia and Jake then headed to St. James the Greater Catholic Church to celebrate with friends and family. The toasts and blessing during the reception just reaffirmed what a special couple these two are and how much of an impact they have had on their friends and families over the years. The night was filled with great food courtesy of Alfredo’s Mediterranean Grill and Steakhouse and lots of dancing! We spent a few quiet moments in the adoration chapel where Jake had proposed to Olivia. Then topped the night off with more dancing, a glowstick exit and prepared to head off to their honeymoon in Italy! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Lathwell! I wish you both many years of love, laughter and happiness!
