So there are times where I really believe you are meant to cross paths with other people… Sunday afternoon was one of those days for me!  I was waiting for a couple to arrive at the State Arboretum of Virginia for their engagement shoot and decided to walk around scouting out great lighting locations.  I happened to notice the sweetest couple, that was obviously completely in love, having a picnic on the lawn.  They looked like a scene out of a romantic movie!  As I passed by they turned their heads and looked at me and I couldn’t help but say “You two look so incredibly happy!”  They both had huge smiles and responded, “We just got engaged!”   Well anyone who knows me, knows that I immediately said, “well would you like me to take a picture for you?”  They eagerly handed me their cell phone and I snapped a few quick phone pictures.  I then offered to take a few photos with my camera as I had in on me since I was just scouting out locations.  I was so excited to be able to capture a few of these genuine emotional moments for them!  They were so happy they actually gave me goosebumps!  It is moments like these that make me realize why I love photography so much!  My passion is to capture real and genuine emotion and to be able to share the images with others so that they may treasure the memories for a lifetime.   I am so grateful to have been in the right place at the right time!  Emily and John Paul, I wish you both all of the happiness in the world!!!
