During the pandemic, their paths aligned in a new way, and they officially began dating. Now, years later, they’re preparing to say “I do” next year at St. John’s Catholic Church.

We met at sunrise to capture their engagement session among some of Washington, D.C.’s most iconic landmarks. A Puppy Named Scout

One of the sweetest parts of their session was having their 7-month-old puppy, Scout, along for the adventure. He was so eager to give mom and dad lots of puppy kisses, adding extra joy (and laughter!) to the morning. Scout is such a big part of their love story, and it was so special to capture him with them during this exciting season of life.

A Special Outfit Detail

Another meaningful touch to their session was Meredith’s second outfit choice. She wore the same dress that her mom had worn during her own engagement session years ago. It was such a beautiful way to honor her family’s legacy of love and made the photos even more timeless and sentimental.
