It is hard to believe that this beautiful young lady is a graduating senior this year!  Sophia has been dancing since the age of 3 at the Ashburn Academy of Dance.  We had such a great time with this photo shoot after a performance at the Franklin Park Performing Arts Center in Purcellville, Virginia.  I was so excited to come across this maintenance shed in the park as it immediately set the stage for out Wizard of Oz photo shoot!  Sophia is dancing the role of Dorothy this upcoming June and is looking forward to performing this part as her last role at the studio before heading off to college!  After we finished recreating Kansas we headed to the State Arboretum of Virginia where we captured some beautiful contemporary dance images.  The beauty of the arboretum is perfect for enhancing the lines of a dancer!  We even had a short visit with a new friend… a very long black snake!  Sophia will be entering the dance program at VCU this fall and we couln’t be more proud of her and all of her hard work over the past fifteen years!  Best wishes to her as she continues the next stage of her dance journey!!!
