Tyler and Maddie| Union Barn Wedding| New Kensington, Pennsylvania

Tyler and Maddie’s Union Barn wedding in New Kensington, Pennsylvania outside of Pittsburgh was full of love and laughter! Not even a little bit of rain and a power outage could dampen the spirits of this sweet couple! Generators kept the timeline going so that hair and make-up could continue and preparations continued even if they were in the dark! As guests arrived and the ceremony was about to begin… on came the lights and everyone let out a huge cheer! I was so impressed by the love and kindness that I witnessed through out this special day. You can tell why these two are so loved by all as they truly go above and beyond letting family know how much they mean to them.

The speeches given by the best man and maid of honor echoed everyone’s sentiment on how thoughtful and caring this couple was to everyone that crossed their paths. They even they surprised Tyler’s grandmother with a special dance where each cousin came out and shared the dance floor with their grandmother. The happiness on her face was priceless!

Maddie’s father was wearing a special ring and watch that belonged to his parents. He was so passionate as he showed them to me and proceeded to tell me to look at the black and white picture on the memory table. As I brought the picture over to him to take a picture of him holding it, he said with a smile that “They are here in spirit”. I am always so honored to be able to spend time capturing memories for my couples and watching the relationships in this family just confirmed even more that I have a very special job! As a wedding photographer I have the privilege of freezing these once in a lifetime moments that these newlyweds will someday be able to share them with their grandchildren!

This Union Barn wedding was a place where so much love of family and friends was shown throughout the day and was showcased with the incredible Pittsburgh Cookie Table that was the center of cocktail hour! My sweet tooth was definitely ready to try them all! The reception was filled with singing and dancing and was led by the incredible band, Lojack, based out of State College! I felt like I was both at a wedding reception and a concert and was ready to stay all night if I didn’t have a four hour drive ahead of me.

I left this wedding once again being grateful for the opportunity to spend a special day with such wonderful people and celebrating the beginning of a new chapter in their love story! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Olson! May your journey be filled with overflowing love and happiness!
